This most enjoyable drinking establishment is just about as unconventional as it’s namesake. Even the 19th century house in which it resides is a little ‘outside-the-box’; with years of memorabilia, a sitting room suspended in mid air, High Nellie’s, Wellies and even Granny’s Kitchen.

They have a place called the snug, which is hidden from pretty much everyone except from the folks walking along the street. We split the BLT and some fries, and our table mate had the clam chowder. Everyone was extremely happy with their food choices, and our service.

We were able to eat here twice. The first was our initial pub upon entering Ireland! What a great first meal. The place feels like am Irish old pub and the pint of Guinness was perfect. There were locals in here and tourists alike, so a great mix. The food was wonderful. The Irish lamb stew was wonderful and the Guinness beef stew was wonderful with the bread served with it. The fish and chips were good, but not the best I had while in Ireland.
